WHAT IS VIU HEALTH?

VIU Health was created from its founder’s medical experience to offer a simpler, more personal and tailored approach to taking care of your health on the Costa Blanca.

It combines medical care and ongoing follow-up with the management and coordination of everything related to each individual’s and their family’s health.

We get to know your situation, provide guidance, monitor your progress, and coordinate the healthcare professionals, tests and services you may need.

Ongoing, personal and independent care, so you always have someone you trust to turn to.

WHAT DOES VIU HEALTH INCLUDE?

• Online medical consultations

  • During business hours, subject to availability. Excludes public holidays and weekends.

  • Progress, treatments, tests, consultations, results, etc.

• Requesting and reviewing medical tests
  • Blood tests, imaging tests, specific diagnostic tests, etc.

• Prescribing treatments/medications

• Specialist guidance
  • Assessment of your needs and identification/coordination of the right healthcare professional.

Requests for medical tests, the prescription of treatments or medications, and the preparation of medical reports will be subject to medical consultation and clinical indication, following prior medical assessment and within the applicable legal framework.

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED?

VIU Health coordinates the entire process, but in-person services and services provided by third parties are contracted separately.

• In-person accompaniment.
• In-person medical consultations
• Home medical visits
• Services provided by clinics, hospitals or other healthcare professionals.
• Diagnostic tests
• Treatments
• Physiotherapy and rehabilitation
• Hospitalisation
• Medical emergencies
  • In the event of a medical emergency, the patient should call 112 or go to the emergency department of their designated or nearest hospital or healthcare centre.

DO YOU NEED IN-PERSON SUPPORT?

There are times when managing and coordinating everything is simply not enough.

VIU can accompany you in person to medical appointments, diagnostic tests, hospital admissions or discharges, and other health-related appointments,supporting you throughout the entire process and facilitating the necessary communication and coordination.

In-person accompaniment is provided through VIU privileges.

VIU Members have Privileges included in their Membership and can add additional Privilege packs whenever they need them.

VIU Health users who do not have a Membership can also purchase the Privileges they need for in-person accompaniment.
